For the Del Campo Jr Cougars Youth Football and Cheer organization to operate successfully each year it is necessary that each family participates in the parent volunteer hours and duties required during the season. Del Campo Jr Cougars Football and Cheer is run strictly by volunteers and a volunteer Board of Directors. Please do your part to help provide a smooth, efficient, fun, and valuable experience for all the children in our program. During the 2026 season, each family was required to work a 10 hours per athlete they have participating in the program. In order to be eligible to receive the refund for parent hours ALL 10 hours MUST be completed.
Our organization would not be possible without volunteers. We want to thank each and every one of our families and look forward to another great season!
HOME GAMES
Set-Up: This position typically starts at 8am-10am. Volunteers will be grouped by task and assist with setting up tents, tables/chairs, ticketing booth, grill, and snack area.
Front Gate - Tickets: 2 hours shift. Assist with collecting electronic payment for entrance fees during home games. 2025 SYF Badges = free (volunteers pay the gate entry).
Front Gate - Security: 2 hour shift. Stand at entry gate and make sure spectators are paying or stamped for re-entry and following rules of entry (no dogs, ice chests, outside food & drink).
Snackbar: 2 hours shift. 2 people take orders and there are 2 food/runners to fill the orders. Absolutely no children are allowed to work or hangout in the snack bar.
Grill and grill assistant: 2 hour shift. Griller will BBQ all food and assistant with wrap all the food and place in warmers.
Field Gate Security: 2 hours shift. Sits at field entrances to verify only players, coaches, and badged personnel enter the field.
Player Gate Security: 2 hour shift. Stand at the gate leading to practice fields to verify only players, coaches, and badged personnel enter/exit using this gate.
Tear down: 2 hour shift. Volunteers will be grouped by task and assist with cleaning up tents, tables/chairs, spirit wear booth items, ticketing booth, grill, and snack area. Bleacher clean-up as well.
AWAY GAMES
Chain Gang: 3 volunteers per game for away games ONLY. 1 person uses the down marker signifying what down it is. The other 2 volunteers use the chains to mark the play location.
